Community and Schools Initiatives

Shield Associates take pride in the fact that we look to support schools, colleges, community groups and charities with bespoke low-cost training courses that provide unique and innovative training in safety, security and protection. All of our trainers are DBS checked to an enhanced level and we welcome teachers, parents and carers to our training sessions.

Courses run for 2 - 4 hours and are both innovative and interactive. Our courses are accredited and we will even design courses that suit the needs of the students and deliver first class safety & security awareness.

We have delivered training to public sector staff, the YMCA, schools, school children, charities, carers and community groups across Hertfordshire, Surrey, Sussex and SW London.

In delivering our courses we provide students with a structured and unique plan that is simple to follow on how to be aware of their surroundings, how to respond and escape from any particular threat or incident they find themselves in. The course builds confidence and prepares students for travel whether in the UK or abroad and in particular the transport network.

In addition we have developed a gap year travel safety programme utilising the experiences of our associates who have travelled extensively abroad to hostile environments and politically sensitive countries.
